At its Oct. 9 meeting the Turkeyfoot Valley Area School District board approved the first reading of multiple policy updates, including Policy 102 (Academic Standards), Policy 105 (Curriculum), Policy 122 (Extra Curricular Activities) and attachments, Policy 123 (Interscholastic Athletics) and attachments, Policy 317 and 317.1 (Conduct/Disciplinary Procedures and Educator Misconduct), Policy 626 and attachments (Federal Fiscal Compliance and related attachments), Policy 626.1 (Travel Reimbursement—Federal Programs), and Policy 827 (Conflict of Interest). Gerald Conn moved and Dean Hay seconded the first-reading approvals; the votes were unanimous.
First reading indicates the board has reviewed the proposed policy language; further action (final adoption) will occur at a subsequent meeting per the district's policy-adoption process.
