Steph Stevens, who identified herself as the principal at Harrison School, told the Whitehall board that Harrison plans to dissolve the boys basketball co-op once the school can field its own team.
Stevens said community feedback indicates that boys participation should soon be sufficient for Harrison to host its own program and that the Montana High School Association (MHSA) rules now require only notice of dissolution rather than consent. "We really want to just thank you guys for providing our kids the opportunity... we didn't have any kids boys specifically come over for boys basketball, but in the future it looks like we're going to have enough boys to host our own team," Stevens said.
The board accepted the notice for review; no formal action was required because the co-op dissolution is subject to MHSA notice rules rather than board approval.
