Board hires assistant football coaches, approves volunteer wrestling coach and library assistant following executive session
Summary
Following an executive session on personnel, the board hired three 1/3 FTE assistant football coaches, approved a volunteer high school wrestling coach, hired a DEMS library assistant and tabled two other hires.
The board met in executive session under Wisconsin Statute 19.85(1)(c) to consider personnel matters and returned to open session where it acted on several hiring recommendations. Motion by Riechers, seconded by Stauffacher, approved hiring Jon Bryson, Will Schwartz and Brett Knautz as 1/3 FTE assistant football coaches. Motion by Stauffacher, seconded by Riechers, approved Casey Horne as a volunteer high school wrestling coach. The board hired Harolyn Hastert as a DEMS Library Assistant (motion by Stauffacher, seconded by Gratz). Two items were tabled: the middle school wrestling coach hire and the kindergarten assistant hire.
The minutes record the executive session authority (Wis. Stat. 19.85(1)(c)) and that the motion to enter executive session carried unanimously. The actions taken on returning to open session were recorded as motions that "carried"; the minutes do not record individual roll-call vote tallies for these personnel actions.
