Middle School Principal Kris Wallace presented proposed schedule changes for the 2026–27 school year that would align the middle school on the same bell schedule as grades 5–8. The proposal calls for a seven-period day with 51-minute class periods for all classes and a 25-minute WYN block at the end of the day; Wallace said the plan would improve staffing flexibility and simplify special-education coverage.
Wallace said the change would not substantially shift total instructional minutes for any grade but would move WYN (currently midday) to the end of the day and provide better options to "chase a bubble grade" and refine MLSS work with CESA support. The board heard the presentation during the principal reports portion of the agenda; no formal vote on schedule adoption was recorded in the minutes.
