Board approves $1.69 million in bills, staffing updates and donations

The School District of South Milwaukee Board approved the consent agenda by roll call vote, 6-0, which included approval of bills for payment totaling $1,686,912.46, minutes from Jan. 21 and 26, 2026, and staffing changes including new hires, resignations and retirements.
Personnel items recorded included retirements effective June 11, 2026 (Deb Robinson, high-school Spanish teacher; Dave Fix, high-school business education teacher; Brenda Osell, elementary teacher), a resignation effective June 11, 2026 (Marta Ahler, high-school math teacher), and a retirement effective June 12, 2026 (Janet Horrigan, elementary teacher). The board also approved the 2027 high-school out-of-country Spanish trip and accepted $1,300 in donations to benefit the Blakewood PTO.
