The School District of South Milwaukee Board on Feb. 18 approved a consent agenda that included payment of $1,949,136.20 in bills, personnel actions, policy updates and $1,806 in donations.
The motion was recorded as "Moved by Hansen and seconded by Simmons that the Board approve the consent agenda as follows." The consent agenda package listed revised retirement dates for elementary teachers Laura Widenski and Brenda Osell (revised to June 12, 2026) and the resignation of middle school special-education teacher Stephanie Madaus, effective Feb. 20, 2026. The board also approved the third reading and adoption of revised policies: 363 (School Counseling Program), 421 (and rule Student Entrance Age), 431 (Student Attendance), and 431.1 (Student Transportation).
The board approved the consent agenda by roll-call vote; the minutes record the motion as carried 6–0. A separate consent motion approved minutes from the Feb. 4, 2026 meeting (DeFord, Genduso, Hansen, Hintz and Simmons voted aye; Jurowski abstained).
