Superintendent Deidre Roemer used her report to thank Trinity Lutheran Church for a partnership with Lakeview Elementary that has provided supplies, volunteers for reading rotations, and winter outerwear since at least 2019; awards of recognition were presented to the church and volunteers. Roemer also highlighted an instructional coach, Rachel Swick, who stepped into a kindergarten classroom midyear and was credited with a positive impact on the 5K class during spring assessments.
Roemer announced the high school received both the American Sports Builders Association Distinguished Single-Field Facility Award and Distinguished Multi-Field Facility Award. She attributed facility improvements to a combination of district investment, a $1 million grant from the Bucyrus Foundation, and nearly $1 million raised by the Launching a Legacy Campaign; the minutes note the upgrades have increased student attendance at events.
