Administrators propose trimming schedule-change timeline to avoid September carryover

At the Jan. 8 Policy Committee meeting, administrator Amy Lewis described proposed revisions to Policy 343.1 (Junior/Senior High School schedule changes) intended to align the written policy with current practice.
"With an A/B schedule format, the 10 class days could put us well into Sept.," Lewis said. She recommended shortening the timeline in the policy so that schedule-change procedures would not be delayed into the start of the school year. Lewis also noted the revised language preserves flexibility for unique situations.
The minutes record the discussion but do not show a formal vote to adopt the revised language during this meeting.
