TIFA Director outlines budget status, pending invoices and multiple development updates

City Manager and TIFA Director Jon Schneider reviewed the TIFA/LDFA packet and said the board will receive this presentation twice a year to satisfy state reporting requirements. He gave a high‑level summary of the FY 2024/2025 budgets and said the City is "waiting on a final paving invoice" for work completed before June 30 as well as any remaining invoices related to the Centerline dugouts.

Schneider provided project updates: an overlook deck and fencing have recently been completed at the Powerhouse Building and staff are preparing design and cost estimates for next steps. He said a Pocket Park is planned at 8 State Road, that the Wood Street water and sewer project should be completed by the end of July, and that apartments behind Leppinks are on track to begin construction this fall. Schneider also told the board that the City and Brooks Township are in "the final stages of finalizing a PA425 annexation agreement" for a parcel at 40 E. 82nd Street being considered for a J&H Family Store/Gas Station.
