New Monroe High School largely finished; board hears punch-list, signage and cell-coverage work still underway

Project leads told trustees the new high school largely ‘‘looks done’’ and that community reaction at the grand opening has been positive. Alex, a project representative, said the building was receiving user training and crews were finishing remaining punch-list tasks; trustees acknowledged community pride but also noted ongoing adjustments as staff and students begin to use the new spaces.

Facilities staff and administrators said two contractor teams were on site this week to install traffic and wayfinding signs and to add cellular boosters to improve coverage. Ron explained that the booster system being installed is "agnostic" so it should improve reception for any carrier; trustees discussed speed concerns on the front drive and the trade-offs of speed bumps versus maintenance (snow removal). Board members emphasized continued user training and careful monitoring of site traffic as students arrive and events increase.
