Athletic director highlights new scheduling tools and rising participation, cites 3.41 average GPA for participants

Eric Jubeck, the district’s athletic director, told the board the athletics department has moved communication and scheduling onto consolidated platforms this year to make events easier for families and staff to follow. “We’ve consolidated into 1, and, we’ve done an incredible job of, answering questions and providing support,” Jubeck said as he highlighted ParentSquare and a new scheduling app called Bound.

Jubeck described a new booster-supported strength-and-conditioning program, Lumen, and walked trustees through participation figures for the 2025–26 cycle. “We had 301 of them that were involved in those 31 activities with an average GPA of 3.41,” he said, using those figures to argue that extracurricular involvement correlates with higher student achievement. Board members asked how stipend positions are set and whether non-stipend activities could expand; Jubeck said stipend roles are defined in the employee handbook but many clubs run because staff volunteer their time.

Trustees praised the district’s outreach and suggested clearer website instructions for Bound so families can sync event calendars; the board’s discussion also noted continuing statewide trends in virtual schooling and girls’ participation that the athletics staff are monitoring. The report concluded with the board thanking coaches, volunteers and donors who helped transfer equipment into the new high school.
