Supervisors table shed modification requests pending permits and property‑line clarification

The board discussed two separate shed modification requests that had been considered by the Planning Commission. Justin Murdie sought an 8‑foot addition to an existing shed at 205 Janice Lane (resulting in a 12' x 24' structure); the Planning Commission recommended approval contingent on the owner applying for a building permit for the entire structure because the existing shed was not previously permitted (P.C. vote 6–2). Supervisors suggested Mr. Murdie remove a tree and relocate the shed to meet ordinance requirements, and the Supervisors tabled action on the modification.

Separately, James and Charlene Taylor requested a 12' x 24' shed with a zero‑foot setback at 148 Frazier Road. The Taylors stated they did not know the precise property line; the Planning Commission provided a portion of the Walker Subdivision for reference and tabled the request until the property line between the Taylors and neighboring owner Zachary Taylor is determined. The board recorded no action on either P.C.‑tabled item at the Sept. 8 meeting.
