Merrick County Board of Equalization approves assessor’s valuation recommendations

Notable recommended reductions included Parcel #2002.65 (Tyler and Isabell Fuelberth), with a recommended assessed value lowered to $169,885 from the protested $237,840; Parcel #6020.00 (Barrett Huneke), recommended $725,885 down from a protested $835,485 due to reduced presumed quality of work and carpentry; and Parcel #6257.00 (Pamela Curry), recommended $187,940 after accounting for a 1990s modular home. Several protests were recorded as "no change" or listed as withdrawn in the assessor's reading. The board approved the assessor’s full slate of recommendations as presented.
