Library reports water fixed and a sizeable CD from an estate; asks commission about cost-sharing for repairs

The representative said most of the recent budget increase went to salaries and interlibrary loans, and that the gift was intended for library programming; she urged the board to consider small capital repairs or to leverage the town’s or county’s maintenance resources.

Commissioners thanked her and asked staff to review the CD balance and auditor guidance on how to display restricted or designated funds in the budget book. The library did not request an immediate appropriation at the meeting, but the conversation prepared the board to consider potential shared projects.
