Annual meeting names chair, clerk and approves routine resolutions including audit, transportation and board pay

During the organizational portion of the meeting, the board opened nominations for the 2026–27 annual meeting chair. Jeff nominated Mandy; after a second the Chair announced that Mandy was elected chairperson for the 2026–27 annual meeting. The board then nominated Nicole Hendrickson as clerk for the meeting; the Chair declared Nicole Hendrickson the clerk unanimously for the purposes of this meeting.

The board moved and approved a set of routine resolutions: to authorize an annual audit of the district's books by a licensed accountant (moved by Jeff and seconded; passed by hands/voice vote), to provide transportation for students (moved by Rick; passed), to authorize payment of actual and necessary expenses for board travel and continuing education, to operate a hot‑lunch program, and to provide textbooks for student use with possible penalties for unreasonable wear. The board also set the annual board salary at $2,170 with mileage reimbursed at the IRS rate.

Most procedural votes were passed by voice or hands and were recorded by the Chair as passing; where the transcript records explicit tallies (e.g., earlier agenda adoption), the Chair noted the vote count. There was discussion about attendance and the purpose of continuing education and advocacy trips that such expense resolutions are intended to support.
