Jail district approves consent agenda, corrects typographical error in agenda

The chair of the Cochise County Jail District led a vote on Tuesday, Aug. 25, in the Supervisor's Hearing Room in Bisbee that approved consent agenda items 1 and 2 by a 3-0 vote.

Supervisor Crosby moved to approve the two consent items and called attention to a minor typographical error on agenda item 1. "I would also like to note a very minor typographical error at the very end of the top line of agenda item 1," Crosby said. The chair seconded the motion and said the spelling of "August" (appearing as "Augusty" in the packet) would be corrected and that the correction would be noted in the records.

After a brief request for discussion, the chair called the question. "All those in favor, say aye," the chair said. The board voiced its approval and the chair announced, "Motion carries 3 0." The meeting record shows the three supervisors — Crosby (District 1), Gomez (District 2) and Antoneree (District 3) — present for the vote.

The board did not record any abstentions or separate amendments to the consent agenda in the meeting's discussion. The chair said the next meeting would be the regular Board of Supervisors session and then adjourned the jail district meeting.
