Homeowner raises preserve‑encroachment concerns at 4611 Torrey Pines Court

Eric Long presented a letter from resident Judy Kessel concerning encroachment of preserve roots onto her property at 4611 Torrey Pines Court. Kessel told the Board the problem "started in a small area and grew bigger and bigger" and said that when crews mow they leave sand and tire tracks; she said the condition has persisted for "the past two to three years." Long called attention to the area on an enclosed map and discussed possible solutions, including grinding roots and mulching.

Board and staff discussed whether the area is an indigenous preserve, shade and possible pool overflow as contributing factors, and whether three palm trees should be removed from the preserve. Mrs. Adams requested GreenScapes, the current vendor, prepare a proposal for the homeowner; Long said he would add mulching at 4611 Torrey Pines Court to his to‑do list.
