Construction updates: Wayside MS progress and schematic presentation for Elkins Agricultural Science Complex

Chief Operations Officer Clete Welch briefed the Board on multiple construction activities. At Wayside Middle School crews completed the front concrete driveway, are preparing a south drive pour, installed CMU walls in the fine arts area, and delivered steel for the storm shelter; the geothermal well field is ready for inspection. Welch answered board questions about Saginaw High School renovations and noted continued coordination with the city and developers on infrastructure for Steven G. Newcom Middle School.

Mr. Welch introduced Lauren Brown of VLK Architects, who presented schematic designs for the new Dick and Heidi Elkins Agricultural Science Complex and reviewed design progress. Board members were updated on timelines and next steps in schematic development and campus coordination.
