Gambling Control Board: charitable gambling receipts top $5.28 billion; new monthly data released

Director Wade reported that charitable gambling gross receipts for fiscal year 2026 exceeded $5 billion for the first time, giving a preliminary total of "$5,284,000,000," an increase of 7.62% from fiscal year 2025. He said June gross receipts totaled $428,000,000 and cautioned the figures are the numbers organizations file and may be amended.

Wade also announced a new "monthly sales trends" page on the Gambling Control Board's website that will show the most recent 12 months of gross receipts and a breakdown by game type so members of the public can view the latest filings without submitting a data request. "This will allow the public to view the gross receipts by the most recent 12 months, as well as broken down by game type," he said. Wade emphasized the data reflect filings submitted to the board and may be incomplete or later amended.

Wade said the board's rules comment period recently closed and staff are analyzing comments with a goal of finalizing rules by the end of September. He also noted the start of the biennial budget process with appropriation decisions to be made by the legislature and governor's office.
