Nutter Fort civil service commission holds executive session, tables hiring and testing items

The Town of Nutter Fort Police Civil Service Commission convened June 15 and moved into executive session to discuss a package of personnel and hiring matters, then returned to table those items for future consideration.

"A motion was made by Mike Jones to enter into executive session for New Business items A, B, C, D, & E due to sensitive legal obligations," the minutes record. Mr. Mike Jones, a commission member, made the motion and Mr. David Leroy, a commission member, seconded it; the minutes state all commissioners voted in favor and the record shows the commission entered executive session at 3:03 PM.

The agenda items listed for consideration were: A) the PCSC-1 Form, B) Background Testing, C) Age Requirements, D) Testing/Hiring Procedures, and E) Advertisement for testing/applications. After returning to open session at 4:52 PM (a motion to return was made by Mr. Mike Jones and seconded by Mr. David Leroy), Mr. Sam Strickland, the commission president, moved to table items A–E. Mr. David Leroy seconded that motion, and the minutes state it passed with all commissioners in favor.
