Historic commission approves text for state marker noting Washington's approach to Princeton

Commissioners discussed the sign's placement on state property, the sign's 50-character title and 615‑character text limits, and how the marker would clarify that the location is not the battlefield itself but a roadside orientation point. A motion to approve the text as written was moved and seconded; commissioners voiced support and the commission registered its approval for the state submission.

Commissioners also discussed outreach, potential programs to tie into the marker and handouts to highlight African American and Native American participants in Princeton's Revolutionary-era history. The commission agreed to convey its endorsement to the state sign program and to pursue complementary local programming ahead of the 250th.
