Safety committee outlines Navigate360 rollout, visitor-management protocol and panic-button testing

The district's safety committee reviewed several operational safety items, including the implementation of visitor-management software, panic buttons and coordination with first responders. The committee representative said Navigate360 is fully functional across the district and reported a recent instance where the system flagged a visitor by name (a name match to a registry) and that staff will send flagged visitors to the district office for administrator review while the billing admin notifies the superintendent.

The committee discussed communications backups for Internet outages (considering radio systems) and substitutes management workarounds until a district substitute pool is available; staff noted the substitute-pool feature may take until October next year to be fully functional with the vendor. The committee also enumerated the number and placement of fobs and the plan to mount panic buttons near key offices and instructional areas to improve first-responder access.
