Resident warns of persistent standing water and urges flood‑mitigation engagement

During the public comment period resident James Wostoski described recurring standing water and a basement backup at his home, and asked whether volunteers were needed for the Flood Advisory/Mitigation Committee. He said he had attended a prior visioning meeting and raised concerns that rezoning decisions could permit data centers in formerly residential areas, increasing flood‑risk exposure.

"I'm concerned about the, flash flooding and then just the way water is clearing or not clearing as it did from year 1," Wostoski said, describing standing water on Woodland Road and a drain at 217 Woodland that "constantly backs up." Borough staff directed him to the volunteer form on the town website and briefly clarified that homes removed under redevelopment were intended to remain vacant green space, though zoning and land‑use rules were not discussed in detail during the meeting.
