Board adopts 2026–27 budget after hearing, approves Resolution 1182

The Enumclaw School District board voted to adopt the district's 2026–27 budget by passing Resolution 1182 after a public hearing that drew no speakers.

During a presentation before the hearing, the district's budget lead said projected revenues for the general fund and related sources total $90,717,720 and anticipated expenditures are $89,351,008.41. The presenter said the draft budget includes an estimated beginning fund balance of about $11,500,000 and that the EP&O levy is projected to raise about $14,648,000 for the year.

Chair (first seen SEG 002) opened the public hearing required by law; no members of the public signed up to comment, and the board proceeded to consider the resolution. Director Stouffer moved to approve Resolution 1182 and Director Mason seconded. The chair called the question; members voted in favor and the motion passed.

The budget presentation outlined five major funds — general, capital projects, debt service, ASB and transportation vehicle — and a four-year forecast. The capital projects forecast was heavily influenced by a planned land sale and mitigation financing tied to the new school construction. The presenter described a $40,000,000 land-sale revenue and a financing arrangement that could provide up to $25,000,000 in mitigation fees from Oakpoint to support construction cash flow.

The board's adoption of Resolution 1182 finalizes the district's spending plan for the coming year. The budget documents, including a 14-page overview and the longer OSPI F-195 report, remain available in the public board packet for detailed line-item review.
