Members press to implement Saint Mary’s walk‑audit recommendations to improve campus access

A committee member said the committee should give priority to implementing recommendations from the Saint Mary’s walk audit the group completed last year: "I was just reflecting that we performed the walk audit with the help of Henry and his intern last year." The member argued turning audit findings into concrete projects would improve people’s ability to access Saint Mary’s and surrounding facilities.

Members discussed engaging Intermountain and university officials early, including re‑locating a traffic signal to create a safer multimodal main entrance and establishing a perimeter trail around the campus. Staff noted that some elements of the audit were not presented for redefinition this cycle and recommended adding implementation items to the priorities list so they can be referenced in future grants or capital work.
