Internal candidate Sarah highlights continuity, downtown projects and conservation in town manager interview

Sarah, the town’s assistant manager and an internal candidate, told trustees she has been with Fraser for a little over three years and has led or supported major projects including the Downtown Development Authority, the Fraser River corridor work and the bike park. “I’m currently the assistant town manager for the town of Fraser,” she said, framing her candidacy around continuity and existing relationships across the valley.

She listed specific initiatives she helped shepherd — including work on St. Louis Landing and conservation easements — and underscored partnerships with Colorado Parks and Wildlife, the U.S. Army Corps and local environmental consultants. Sarah said those partnerships and her on-the-ground familiarity would let a new manager hit the ground running while protecting natural resources and advancing affordable-housing and childcare priorities. She noted St. Louis Landing’s financing as a heavy capital commitment and described efforts to balance conservation and recreational access along the Fraser River corridor.

Sarah said maintaining staff culture, using board retreats to set priorities and improving operational efficiency with modern tools would be among her early focuses. Trustees thanked her for the interview; the board will meet in executive session to select a candidate and proceed to contract negotiations.
