Reyna Gonzales accepts stipulation, ordered to pay $1,114 and complete pet‑ownership course

Reyna Gonzales told the special magistrate she found and briefly kept a Siberian Husky that frequently escaped before the county cited her. Gonzales described stopping to catch the dog on Golden Gate Parkway and later keeping it on her screened lanai; she said neighbors and officers helped recover the animal. “I had just gotten off of work and I was driving down Golden Gate Parkway, in Golden Gate City,” Gonzales said during testimony.

The county and Gonzales entered a written stipulation resolving multiple citations (CEAC20260002327 series). County counsel read terms that require Gonzales to pay operational costs ($50 per citation), administrative fees ($7 per citation) and civil penalties ($500 per citation), with total charges of $1,114 due within 90 days; she must also register for and complete the Collier County responsible pet ownership course and will be placed on the county’s do‑not‑adopt list for two years. Officer Daniel Torres read the stipulated payment timeline: “to be paid within 90 days of this hearing.” The magistrate entered the order and explained fines would be voided after two years if no further animal‑related ordinance violations occur, and that failure to pay could result in a lien.
