CPMT certifies closed-session compliance after executive session

The Caroline County Community Policy and Management Team convened an executive session on April 21, 2026, under Virginia Code 2.0—3711A(15) to discuss medical records excluded under 2.2-3711 and subdivision 1 of 2.2-3705.5. The motion to enter closed session was made by Wendy Sneed and seconded by Natasha Cheek and carried by the members present.

After returning to open session, CPMT read a certification motion that states, in part: "I move that the CPMT members certify that to the best of each member's knowledge only public business matters lawfully exempted from the open meeting requirement by Virginia law were discussed in closed meeting…" Members were polled and each responded "yes": Alan Partin, Wendy Sneed, Brandie Williams, Paulette Heron, Natasha Cheek, Christina Smith, Bindi Pathak and Shermeka Baker Latney. The motion to exit executive session had been made and seconded by the same members who moved entry.

The action was recorded as a formal certification of the closed-session discussion under the stated Virginia statute. No further substantive action related to the executive session was recorded in the minutes.
