Evergreen Elementary Project on Track, District to Present GMP 3 Next Meeting

District project staff told the board the Evergreen Elementary project is "moving along extraordinarily well," with site utilities and sidewalks in place, footings poured in many areas and form work underway. The presenter said crews plan to begin some floor pours and to prefabricate walls on-site in the coming weeks and that three contract amendments (validation phase, GMP1 and GMP2) have been executed.

The presenter said GMP 3, which will encompass the entire project budget under the progressive design-build method, will be presented to the board at the next meeting. He described the constructability review and value engineering process required by OSPI and confirmed 90% construction documents are due Oct. 19, with 100% CDs expected in mid-to-late December. "We will be, at the next board meeting, presenting GMP 3," he said. Board members pressed for schedule clarity and were told occupancy and commissioning timelines are tight but being actively managed.
