Commission approves ImageTrend contract to replace dispatch/reporting software, vendors say it will save county money

Staff reported that ImageTrend — procured through the Sourcewell cooperative bid — would replace the county's current reporting software and would reduce annual costs compared with the existing vendor. Presenters said the five-year cost of staying with the current provider would be roughly $35,400 (about $177,000 over five years) while the proposed ImageTrend arrangement would cost about $12,868 per year after a one-time setup fee, yielding reported annual savings of roughly $22,500.

Commissioner discussion covered whether additional hardware or integration work would be needed; staff said no new servers were required and that Tyler Technologies access fees (for integration) remain under review. A motion to approve the ImageTrend procurement via Sourcewell was made, seconded and recorded as approved by voice vote. Commissioners asked staff for a clean copy of the contract before final signature.

Separately, the board heard that four EMS cots could not be serviced and that replacement cots were estimated at $4,050.60 each; vendors will provide options for repair, refurbishment or purchase.
