Controller: security audit done; BS&A migration estimate $90,000, Moody's seeks interview on A1 rating

County Controller Paul Compo briefed the board on June 11 on a recent security audit, proposed IT changes and credit-rating engagement. Compo said a Supreme Court security specialist reviewed the facility on May 29 and that a written report with recommendations is expected within 30–60 days; "Overall Mr. Compo thinks we did well," he said. Compo also reported that the county met with BS&A, which is moving to a cloud-based platform, and that the implementation cost estimate provided was $90,000; he said annual costs are expected to increase and it is not yet decided whether the expense will be included in the FY 2027 budget.

Compo said the county will move forward with ACH for vendor payments and that the Treasurer has developed a vendor form; a revised vendor policy will be presented at a future meeting. He added that MOODY's has requested an interview to evaluate Crawford County's current A1 rating. The Brownfield Redevelopment Authority is moving forward with planning related to an EPA grant and the Sawmill Lofts project, Compo said.
