Evergreen Elementary project "on schedule," board told; GMP 3 to appear next meeting

Board members were given a detailed construction update on Evergreen Elementary. The presenter reported that the project has reached the 100% design development milestone, footings are poured in many areas and crews are preparing to prefabricate walls on site; early site work, utilities and sidewalks are in place. "The project is moving along extraordinarily well," the presenter said.

The team has executed three contract amendments and two guaranteed maximum price (GMP) packages; the next meeting will include GMP 3 that will encompass the entire project budget. Board members discussed design elements (roof slope, entry court), commissioning prior to occupancy, and a tight occupancy timeline the district is monitoring. Administrators flagged schedule risk and said they are monitoring long-lead procurement and contingency to protect the occupancy target.
