OP Overwatch describes free trauma programs for local first responders

On the episode, OP Overwatch founder Dave Buds described the organization’s suite of free programs for first responders, military personnel and their families, stressing small-group, face-to-face trainings and peer gatherings. Buds said the group "specialize[s] in teaching what trauma truly is the science of it" and highlighted a faith-based, Christ-centered component that is optional for participants.

Buds described the corral, a timber-frame barn donated by Rapids Bible Church, as the organization’s primary meeting and training space. He framed post-traumatic stress as an expected, adaptive response to traumatic events, saying, "It's not a disorder," and argued that reframing helps responders speak about their experiences and seek support.
