District: Summer programs served 2,669 students; instructional minutes rose

Miss Arntzen, introduced by the superintendent, told the board that "for the summer of 20 26, we had 2,669 resident students participate in either gap closing, enrichment, or credit bearing courses that were offered in our programs all the way through the high school." She cited program-area details, including 831 swimming lessons, an all-sports academy with 101 participants and Muskego Power for grades 6–12 with 781 participants.

Miss Arntzen said the district saw slightly fewer students than the summer of 2025 (2,748) but noted "the FTE of instructional minutes was actually higher," which the district interprets as more instructional minutes provided per student. Board members responded with praise: one member called the results "a big testament to the fact that you guys put together a good program that kids are finding value in attending." The superintendent and board discussed the program mix and staffing that supported the larger-minute totals.

The presentation included a reference to linked enrollment graphs in the agenda packet; no formal action was required. The board moved on to other business after questions, and the Educational Services committee later said it will return with a recommendation on related curricular reconfigurations at the October meeting.
