The RSU 9 school board heard a lengthy discussion and voted to approve a fundraising plan from the boosters to raise up to $1.6 million to convert the competition field to synthetic turf (fundraising approval only), after extensive debate about costs, injuries, PFAS and recyclability. The board also declined an electric school-bus rebate at this time and heard presentations on school gardens and other administrative reports.
