Shelbyville City Council study session on Sept. 3, 2024 covered public comment on an upcoming candidate forum and development concerns, updates from the city manager (including trail survey and airport property closings), a police presentation on Flock camera alerts, discussion of a state parks-and-recreation grant and county match, a developer request to buy a small city parcel for Cooper Steel, camera-system upgrade options for council chambers, multiple rezoning requests (including Lexington Cove PUD and several rezoning proposals), airport ground-lease amendments, surplus and purchasing items, and routine business. Several items were set for future formal action or returned to upcoming business agendas.
