Gainesville City Council held a work session Oct. 1, 2024. Council made several unanimous procedural approvals: advisory-board appointments, minutes; approved a quick-claim easement release tied to a proposed QuikTrip; agreed to table a public-hearing item to Nov. 5 for further work with planning staff; and approved sponsoring a state HUD housing grant application that could allocate $1,000,000 to Gainesville and Statesboro.
