Berkeley City Council on Dec. 16, 2024 approved several routine items and budget amendments, accepted the quarterly financial report, and voted to reopen Dorothea to vehicular traffic in the short term while pursuing activation and longer-term planning. Council heard public comment about a city water-service-line contract clause and about impacts of the Dorothea closure on local businesses.
