The Berkley Planning Commission held a public hearing on PSU 0324, a special land use request to expand a home day care at 1818 Mortensen from 1–6 children to 7–12 with conditions limiting drop-offs to Princeton and requiring six of the 12 children to be walkers. After public comment and commissioner deliberation, the commission voted to recommend denial to city council by a 4-2 vote; the matter will go to council in January.
