The Assembly Commerce, Economic Development and Agriculture Committee heard testimony and voted to adopt a committee substitute for A4051 (a bill to prohibit retail sale of cats, dogs and rabbits in pet shops) after hours of pro and anti proposals and testimony; the substitute will be revised further before a floor vote. Several other bills (A4465, A4556, A4501, A4971) were also considered and were favorably released with committee amendments.
