The Walla Walla City Council held a regular meeting Dec. 18, 2024, where residents raised concerns about anti-LGBTQ chalking and alleged local corruption; the council approved consent items, authorized vehicle/equipment purchases, adopted a 2.45% convenience fee for card payments effective Jan. 1, 2025, awarded lodging-tax support to a food-truck event, approved accounts and payroll registers, and accepted a $7 million philanthropic grant toward a library project.
