Georgetown City Council convened for a regularly scheduled meeting. The council opened with recognition of downtown/tourism and CAPE teams for statewide awards, approved a consent agenda with one item (5e) moved to the legislative agenda, and heard a workshop and extended public comment on proposed neighborhood overlay height limits for the San Jose and TRG (Tract Ridge & Grasshopper) neighborhoods. After hearing residents, councilmembers directed staff to codify a 20-foot maximum for San Jose and a 25-foot maximum for TRG. The council also approved a zoning-on-annexation request for 6602 Jim Hogg Drive (C3), designated a reinvestment zone at 1800 Aviation Drive (first reading), approved the FY2025 capital roll-forward (first reading), and approved strategic partnership grant awards (item 5e).
