The Warr Acres Planning Commission met Aug. 13, 2024. Commissioners heard three substantive land-use items: (1) a rezoning application for 5707 NW 42nd that the applicant withdrew after staff recommended a lower-density C3 zone; (2) an automotive wrecker/repo storage use at 5932 NW (fronting 38th) that the commission recommended to the city council for approval; and (3) a special-use/automotive repair application at 5505 NW 50th (Julio’s Auto Repair) that drew extended public comment about noise, runoff and hours and for which the commission voted to recommend disapproval to the city council.
