At its Aug. 14, 2024 regular meeting, the Gary Community School Corporation Board heard summer and opening-day updates, took public comment (including a student grievance and facilities concerns), approved the consent and several action items, voted to adopt district bylaws and policies, heard a proposal for cell towers on two school sites, received a monthly financial report showing a $12,000,000 education fund balance and tighter operations cash, and set upcoming budget hearings.
