The McKinney Community Development Corporation met for its regular January session. The board approved consent items, heard a fiscal year 2024 financial report showing stronger-than-budget sales-tax receipts, awarded a set of promotional/community event grants, held public hearings on multiple project grant applications (including HUGS Cafe headquarters, Cannon Beach, McKinney National Airport infrastructure, Habitat for Humanity Cotton Groves, TPC Craig Ranch erosion repairs, Collin County History Museum preservation, McKinney Parks Foundation equipment, and Chestnut Square drainage/foundation repairs), and continued an extended discussion of an airport financing package. Several public hearings were left open for follow-up and some items advanced to later council/board review.
