The Wasatch Front Regional Council convened its first meeting of 2025 with congressional delegations joining remotely and in-person. U.S. Rep. Blake Moore and U.S. Sen. John Curtis briefed the council on federal priorities including expiring tax provisions, committee assignments, EPA nomination and ozone concerns, and surface transportation. The council approved routine consent items, re‑appointed leadership after a nominating committee recommendation, endorsed staff positions on early 2025 legislation, certified four South Jordan station-area plans to meet state statutory requirements, and approved a board modification to the 2025–2030 Transportation Improvement Program that added and re-scoped several UDOT projects.
