Chair John Schneider called the commission to order, established quorum and asked commissioners to introduce themselves. Commissioners introduced themselves and their affiliations (Oklahoma Association of Youth Services, PAR board, business appointee, Office of Juvenile Affairs, CASA, Oklahoma City Community Foundation, judiciary, Oklahoma Bar Association, foster/residential care representatives).
Oklahoma Commission on Children and Youth met in September (in-person with Zoom attendance). Commissioners heard public comment from childcare providers, received a presentation from Oklahoma Human Services on proposed emergency childcare subsidy and licensing rule changes (including a proposal to lower entry eligibility from 85% to 70% of state median income), reviewed OCCY finance and budget materials, approved multidisciplinary teams and several council appointments, heard updates on child-abuse-prevention efforts and the Child Death Review Board, and adjourned at 12:16.
