At its Dec. 10, 2024 meeting in City Hall Council Chambers, the Davenport City Historic Preservation Commission approved removal of a rear exterior staircase, an 8-by-16-foot deck and a dining-room window at 418 W. Seventh St., but tabled a decision on a proposed 12-by-7-foot sliding glass door pending visual mockups and revised door options. The commission also heard a presentation on the restored Victorian gazebo at 1234 E. River Drive.
