The Connecticut General Assembly Transportation Committee held a public hearing on Feb. 10, 2025, taking testimony on a package of transit, safety and vehicle bills including proposals to make bus transit fare-free for certain groups, update ebike/scooter rules, fund small-harbor dredging and strengthen penalties for obstructing fire hydrants. Dozens of advocates, students, municipal officials, agency executives and industry representatives testified.
