Chair Jacques Hadler opened the meeting and read the list of commissioners and staff present, including clerk Gabriel Wojtek and county attorney Steven Stocks. He announced the first order of business: certification of the 2024 general election canvass.
Grand County Commission met Nov. 18 for a combined Board of Canvassers session (certifying the Nov. 5, 2024 election) followed by a land-use workshop on a rewrite of the general plan land-use element and a lengthy budget workshop focused on revenue forecasts, a proposed $1,000,000 surplus assumption, TRT/TCAP spending priorities (including an EMS ambulance request), a possible GCAT rebrand and paid-media bump, proposed new positions and reclassifications, and an interest-allocation policy for invested reserves.
